Geographical information system has become an important aid to disaster reduction and decision making. This course introduces disaster characteristics and recent disaster prevention cases to explain how to apply geographic information system. It also uses practice and final report to help students understand how geographic information system technology is applied to disasters such as flood, slope-land disasters and earthquakes.
